Assessment — Austin

InBody body composition analysis

An InBody scan measures body composition — including lean mass, body fat and segmental distribution — to provide objective context for treatment planning and progress tracking. It is an assessment tool, not a medical diagnosis on its own.

Why composition matters more than a scale number

Two people at the same weight can have very different bodies. Composition data helps distinguish loss of lean mass from loss of fat, which is particularly useful for patients in a medically guided weight-management program.

For body contouring, a baseline scan gives us something more objective than photographs alone when reviewing progress over a series.

How it is used at Grace

  • Baseline measurement before starting a plan
  • Periodic tracking during weight management
  • Context when deciding between fat-focused, tone-focused and skin-focused treatment
  • A realistic conversation about what contouring can and cannot change

Interpreting your results

Your provider reviews the scan with you rather than handing over a printout. Readings can shift with hydration, food and timing, so trends across visits are more meaningful than any single measurement.
